Photoinitiator is an important part of the photocuring system and plays a decisive role in the photocuring speed. Traditional small molecule photoinitiators are easy to remain, migrate and volatilization, which lead to problems such as odor, toxicity and yellowing of photocurable materials, and restrict their applications in food packaging and biomedical materials. Polymerizable photoinitiators contain polymerizable groups and photoactive structures, which can produce active species under light. They can also be polymerized with photosensitive resins, which can be fixed in photocurable products to reduce the migration ratio of photoinitiators. Therefore, the development of polymerizable photoinitiators is an effective way to improve the migration stability.

4-Benzoylphenyl acrylate is a kind of photoinitiator. Photoinitiator is one of the important components of photocuring adhesive, which plays a decisive role in curing rate. After uv-light irradiation, the photoinitiator absorbs the energy of light and splits into two active free radicals, which causes the chain polymerization of photosensitive resin and active diluent, and makes the adhesive crosslinked and cured. It is characterized by fast, environmental protection and energy saving.
