Dimethylthiocarbamoyl chloride is synthesized from the reaction of thiocarbamoyl Chloride with Chloride in carbon tetracloride. Firstly, carbon tetrachloride is used to absorb chlorine gas at low temperature to prepare chlorine carbon tetrachloride solution. Tetramylthulam disulfide and carbon tetracloride were then stirred into a suspension and heated back in a water bath. The above solution of chlorine carbon tetrachloride is quickly added. After adding, half of the carbon tetracloride is evaporated, and the sulfur is filtered out after cooling. The filtrate was further concentrated and then distilled under reduced pressure to obtain the finished product at 65-68℃ (26.7Pa) with a yield of 80%.
